Veridian is a sole authorship art knife. It’s creation was inspired by nature, and the spirit of life, growth, and truth.
The damascus blade is comprised of two different bars, each hand-made from 11 layers of alternating 1084 and 15n20 high carbon steels. After the forge welding of both 11 layer billets one bar is twisted clockwise, and the other twisted counterclockwise and then forged together to create the mirrored twist pattern. The patterned blade can be seen as a symbolic representation for growth outward and upward, and in opposing direction, signifying the dualistic nature of the universe.
This theme carries into the handle as well, with the green spalted tamarind grip featuring hand carved mirrored fluting to create a diamond pattern. Within each diamond is a domed brass pin, 36 in total. The brass quillion guard and pommel feature an antiqued finish as well as inlaid mother of pearl, one large rectangular piece in the guard itself, and four smaller triangular pieces in the pommel. Every piece of the Veridian dagger has been crafted with thought, intention, and with the utmost attention to detail and it’s sure to be a highly valued one of a kind piece for your collection.
