2025 was a good and busy year for Enso Forge. It went by so fast it’s hard to wrap my head around. So fast that sometimes it didn’t even feel real. It still doesnt. It seems like the more our attention is focused, the more we lose track of time. It’s like whatever part of the brain that keeps time, disappears and you warp to 2026 in an instant. Anyways, that’s another topic.
2025 was filled with more in person events than any other year since I started down this path, (which was about 6 years ago). I managed to achieve some goals, and at the same time there were some that slipped away, but overall I feel there was alot of growth in a positive direction. It’s hard to believe I’ve been doing this for 6 years and at times I still feel like I have no idea If I’m doing it right…I read a quote before that said something like you can tell that you’re on the right path for yourself when the path disappears. There’s no guidebook or map for you to use because the journey is yours and unique to you.
2025 felt that way. Kind of lost but still excitedly moving forward. A lot of contemplation and reflection both personally and about business. The shift to more in person shows was absolutely positive and very rewarding and I’m grateful to everyone that came out and supported Enso Forge. One of my goals for 2025 was to make more art knives. I got one made… but it was a good one, so quality over quantity. I was going to build a forging press…I got started on it at least. I’ll finish it up soon. The universe rewards action not ideation, right? I wanted to buy a commercial grade event tent but certain circumstances and my procrastination led me to now being the owner of 2 fine commercial grade tents. Abundance is real. Building a substantial inventory was always a difficult goal to hit for me due to time constraints and the physical limitations of my human body, but I definitely checked off that goal in 2025! Inventory was created. Now I’m ahead of the game and it feels good. I also was able to establish an email / newsletter. However I’d like to get better at the tech side of things in 2026 so running my website and newsletter feels a little smoother and less draining, so I’ll add that to the 2026 goals.
2025 felt like finally getting a solid foundation laid on something I’ve been building in my head for years. It felt real. Full, vibrant, and exciting… full of potential. And now with the new year here, the blueprint has a bit more resolution to it, and another section of trail has been drawn onto the map.
I have plenty of goals (new and old) for 2026. It’s important that I’m authentic, real, and honest with myself and the world around me. It’s easy to get caught in modes of thought around business that squash artful, soulful creation and place limits on real connection and growth. It feels surreal to look at my life and see all that it is. It’s never been just about making knives, it’s about making a life. Thank you to everyone for 2025.
Here’s to 2026!
