Available for purchase is this 9 1/2″ handmade damascus chefs knife. The blade is comprised of 316 layers of steel which were forged from 1084 and 15n20 high carbon steels. The forge welding and repeated folding of these 2 steels create a random pattern damascus blade with a very nice chatoyance and design. The blade features a full convex grind which is thin behind the edge and has a full distal taper from in front of the bolster to the tip.

The handle is made from an ancient piece of mammoth molar which has been stabilized and dyed and then sculpted to provide a comfortable grip. Its been heirloom fit to a solid piece of antiqued copper and held together by marine grade epoxy and a stainless steel retention nut in the heel of the handle.
