This was a fun little project I had made as a gift. I really love how simple the design is and how everything came together.
The blade was forged from a piece of Damascus steel that was made in house and comprised of 480 layers of 1084 and 15n20 high carbon steels. The handle is a piece of amboyna burl which has been heirloom fit to an antiqued copper bolster.
Overall, I really like how this turned out. The blade itself is really captivating in person and has a ton of random chatoyance from the high layer count. The handle is very comfortable and it’s a really nimble little knife. Thanks for looking!
