Description
Available for purchase is this one of a kind hand made chefs knife. The coffee kiritsuke chefs knife was forged from W2 high carbon tool steel and is fitted with a dyed and stabilized amboyna handle and a heat colored titanium bolster. The kirtisuke knife differs from a regular chefs knife not only because of the “k-tip” aesthetic, but also because of its flatter cutting profile. This flatter profile is ideal for push cuts while the slight upward curved tip still allows for enough height to also use a rocking motion on the cutting board. The thin convex geometry of this knife combined with the cutting profile and blade thickness make this knife excellent for preparing veggies as well as other food cutting tasks. The blade has been given a coffee finish to patina it black and the spine and choil have been rounded and polished to provide maximum user comfort.
The octagonal handle is made from dyed and stabilized amboyna burl and has been heirloom fit to a heat colored titanium bolster. This piece is sure to make an excellent addition to your kitchen or collection.
